Drew was born in Adelaide and did his initial study at Flinders University of South Australia and St Barnabas' College. Later he studied at La Trobe University and Australian Catholic University. He has served in the dioceses of Melbourne, Ballarat and North Queensland in parishes, schools and universities. His academic interests include appreciating the potential of different structures of consciousness at work in the faith life of people, theology in an ecologically challenged age, theology after the Holocaust and various forms of progressive theology in relation to the catholic tradition. His unhealthy love of the Geelong Football Club has finally been rewarded by the winning of the 2009 AFL Premiership. Naomi is an active social worker with experience in working with people who are homeless and have mental illness. She has a deep love of music and is rather quiet about being a slightly disinterested Melbourne Football Club follower.
